more cost-effective way to communicate with friends,
family and business colleagues. We'll explain the parallels
between e(lectronic)-mail and the U.S. Mail and we'll
help you sign up for an email service and teach you
how to send and receive emails. We'll also cover using
your email address book.
Intro to the Internet
There's more to the Internet than just Email. Learn
to access the wealth of information available to everyone
on the Internet! We'll show you how to use the most
effective search engines and how to tackle any research
problems that you might encounter.
Intro to Microsoft Word
Learn how to use this generation's typewriter. Microsoft
Word is the one software program you should learn. We'll
show you everything you need to know in order to work
with any text document. Discover how to create documents,
format text, correct mistakes, cut/copy/paste, spell-check,
save documents and much more.
Intro to Microsoft Windows
Windows is the underlying Operating System that makes
the whole computer run. We'll show you how to make use
of all the handy, built-in tools that come with Windows
(e.g. install and uninstall programs, hard drive maintenance)
and also how to personalize Windows for your own preferences.
File Management
Are you ready to organize your computer files? Learn
how to make full use of your computer's various storage
devices. We'll show you how to save your files to the
exact location you desire and how to move and copy them
as you see fit. No more lost or misplaced files to fret
over!
How to Buy a Computer
If you're starting to feel comfortable with computing
and want to take it to the next level, start thinking
about getting a computer for your own home. We'll lead
you through all the important considerations and even
